TESTIMONIALS

When the Rhos Orpheus Male Choir was offered the services of a young schoolgirl to appear as a soloist in one of our concerts, we didn't really know what to expect. What a find! From the beginning, Adele responded promptly and accurately to any information we asked for. That initial performance with the Choir was outstanding, earning her a well deserved standing ovation. We were so impressed at such young, unassuming talent that we continued engaging her as often as we could in our concerts. Every performance she gave was balanced, contrasting in technique and always to a very high standard, as audiences (and choir members) were always ready to demonstrate. She was always polite, accommodating and a real pleasure to work with during our years together.

Sadly, on my retirement as MD and conductor, the ROMC has decided to cease as a choir, so sadly I shall miss Adele's performances but wish her every success in her future career

- Eifion Wyn Jones, MD and Conductor, Rhos Orpheus Male Voice Choir

“We were delighted to have Adele join us for our fundraising concert. Her professionalism and kindness made her a joy to work with. Adele played exceptionally and her varied programme was a real treat for the audience bringing some elegance and sparkle to our programme. We hope to work with her again in future!”

- Izzy Rodriguez, Co-Founder & Choir Leader (Wrexham)

Adele first came to the notice of the Rhos Orpheus Male Choir back in 2022. As Concert Secretary, I was beginning to put together a programme for a concert designed to support projects in Chester supporting families from the Ukraine. We were keen to use local musicians and Adele was mentioned as she was then a pupil at the King’s School in Chester. From that concert, Adele became our first choice as a soloist in her own right but also as a contrast for the audience to the sound of a full male voice choir.

Adele worked well with the piano accompanist to the choir – Rachel Phillips and became good friends. They rehearsed prior to each concert and performed superbly at subsequent
concerts where Adele was well received by the audiences. Our then conductor, Eifion Wyn Jones was seeking an opportunity for Adele to feature in a piece. He found it in Tell My Father by Frank Wildhorn from the musical The Civil War. It is a particularly poignant piece which was made even more so when Adele joined the choir in the piece. Adele was a guest soloist at both of the sadly farewell concerts by the Rhos Orpheus Choir which ended over 67 years of music making by the choir both in the UK and overseas. Her
CV is a proven record of her skills and talents as a musician and I have no doubt that she has an amazing future ahead of her.

I’m now a member of the world famous Fron Choir and it is certainly my hope that we shall see her perform with us in the future.

"Adele is a brilliant young musician! She has played her flute twice at our BHF concerts, giving sparkling performances on both occasions! The audience loved her!"
